Dumfries & Galloway is where
cycling all began, and there's still no better place to
travel on two wheels. With quiet country roads, courteous
drivers and a wealth of routes to discover, travelling by
pedal power is a real pleasure. Follow signposted cycle
routes through the small village of Keir Mill, where
Kirkpatrick McMillan invented the bicycle in 1840, before
travelling onto nearby Drumlanrig Castle, home to Scotland's
only cycle museum.
